"RO TI RO"

Interpretation: Roll Tide Roll! Which is what you must yell every 5 seconds and shake your pom pom if you attend an Alabama football game. (we did Saturday night but we were secretly cheering for Western Kentucky! GO Hilltoppers!!) We were the only people in the whole place who weren't wearing crimson or white. Oops! Some of the other things we learned are: 1) If Lewis is ever going to really fit in here he needs to invest in some more polos which he can tuck into his khaki shorts and wear with his girly loafers. 2) He also needs some chums for his shades 3) "You might be a redneck if" jokes aren't jokes 4) SEC football games are serious business and Alabama fans really do hate Auburn 5) Apparently it isn't against the law in every state to smoke in public places 6) Football is life (more like religion) in the south, and really fun to be a part of

PS Brooks enjoyed playing Where's Waldo with Big Red (Western's mascot). See if you can spot him in the third picture.

ahh football in the south. People thought we were crazy for starting our boys in Kindergarten when they were five and then again for not holding them back in school so they would be older football players.
Football is serious business!

it's so funny that the people in the south dress up for football. when I went, not only were the boys sporting the penny loafers, but the girls were all dresses up in sundresses. and how can I forget the chums...I don't get it.

Yeah, football games. There's nothing like a crowd of smoking, swearing, yelling, football fanatics--oh yeah and getting beer poured on your head from the smoking, swearing, yelling fanatics who happen to be sitting behind you. :) Good times.

(I'm so excited you guys are coming to visit. I can't wait to meet Cate the Great!)
