11 months

This baby is my earliest walker, she just up and walked across the room this week a few days before she turned 11 months.

She loves to babble all the day long.

She says Dada, Mama, Hey, Hi, Bye bye, Thank You, You're welcome (in her own special way), Georgia, and anything else that she can mimic.

She loves her blanket, it can be any of the gauze ones, and her pacifier.

Sleeps really well in her crib.  Wait, I have to go back on that one because she takes great naps.  The past week nights have been bad. Add to that that I have been staying up late working on painting my kitchen and I am pretty much a zombie right now. Last night she was up at 10:30, 12:30, 1:00, and I can't remember if there were any others until 5:10.  Sleep child, sleep!

She will climb over anything or do whatever it takes to get to something she wants.  She loves to follow the other kids around and hates when they are playing with small pieces and have to shut the door on her.

But they have to because she puts everything in her mouth.

She has 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom.  Today she fell and smacked her face and cut up her gums.  They are so swollen it looks like she only has 1 tooth on top.

She is very determined.

She is very loud and lets us know when she is unhappy.

She screams a lot.

Especially at church when it is quiet and she is stuck on my lap or in the pew.

Right now as I type this she is trying to climb up on a little chair next to me.

She still has the cutest little dimples on her hand and she got my mom's tan skin like Brooks.  After Hawaii (don't worry I put lots of sunscreen on her) she has little tan lines in her rolls.

The kids love to hold her and wrestle with her and she loves it, she loves rough play.

She loves music. And she's got some moves! Sometimes she stands in her crib just rocking out and singing to herself.

She is a little piece of sunshine in our home and we love our baby.

We love you, cupcake!

Cate

I never thought that Cate would ever be anything but my baby.  And in some ways she still is, but she is growing up and even has her first dance recital this weekend.

Peonies

The kids didn't have school Friday (inclement weather day) so we went over to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.  I heard the roses were in bloom and didn't want to miss out.  But then we saw the peonies and I couldn't help myself. I took a million pictures. They are so beautiful and smell so good.

I wanted to get some pictures of Abigail on the day she turned 11 months and then I remembered how she hates the feel of the grass and it was funny.

 She's such a doll.

 And a stinker too.

 The gang.

Last Day

Our last day we spent some time in the pool in the morning.  The big kids were waiting and waiting to get to ride down the water slide.

After a nice swim Jason, Tiana, and Zoe met us for a stop over at the Hilton. That is the place to be with kids.  There was a train to take you to your room! There is an inlet with snorkeling, swimming, and room to even kayak around.  They also have a boat tour that didn't start until after we needed to be on our way to the airport.  We did get to walk under the waterfall, though, and see the dolphins.

The next day was Easter so I tried to get a few shots in our Easter outfits.  Baby wouldn't cooperate!
The big kids got to hold these parrots and only the official Hilton lady was allowed to take pictures.  We were going to buy one but they only had them in packages starting at $50! So we took a picture next to them instead.
We stopped at the Queens Mall again to get some lunch and got to meet the Easter Bunny who gave the kids each some eggs.

 This is at the airport.
The flight home was overnight and everyone did great.  We had such a fun time. Thanks os mcuh Grandpa and Grandma Dee for a great trip!!

Day 6

This day we had to be out of the condo in the morning so we took some quick pictures and headed out.
On our way up to our hotel we stopped to check this lava tube out.

Brooks bonked his head. I almost passed out when I saw it.  Lucky for me Lewis was there to put his doctoring skills to work.

When we got up to the Marriott we took lots of pictures. I think everyone was super tired and sick of me taking pictures of them.

There is a legend that says you shouldn't take lava rock from the island because you will have bad luck, so we just took pictures.

These are all out of order, oh well.

The babies.  Zoe had the largest thighs I have ever seen on a baby.  They were the best.

The plumeria smelled so good!

We hiked to see some petroglyphs but were disappointed because they had been vandalized so much it was hard to tell which ones were new and which were old.

We had a yummy dinner and then the most amazing ice cream on the planet earth.  The coconut cream and chocolate coconut macadamia nut were so good.

These are not in the right order! But I'm getting tired of blogging so I will just leave it. On our way out of Kailua-Kona we did a little bit of shopping (ABC store anyone?!?!) and of course had one more shave ice.
