We drove from Moses Lake to Long Beach on the 3rd and while we were sad to leave Lewis' family,we were thrilled to be at the beach:

We piled the kids all back in the car and they were thrilled to sit in the back with no car seats! As we drove down the beach we all chanted "USA" out the windows while Uncle Brian rode on the roof. People weren't as surprised by us as I thought they should be....

On the 4th we went for a drive to Oysterville and I made Jackie take a picture of this dog driving the car. It still makes me laugh:

We visited Jake of course, and made sure to say Hi from Lewis (his biggest fan):

Uncle Matt was nice enough to take the kids on the Tilt a whirl because there's no way I'm getting on that thing:
See, the beach is a highway and no fireworks are illegal so you can imagine the chaos. Cars as far as you can see and fireworks all day and all night long. Full on fireworks going off all around you.
Cute Porter:

Enjoying smores with the largest marshmallows I have ever seen. Also, the coconut covered marshmallows are so yummy!

We did some sparklers. Well, not me because I got to sit in the car with Cate for most of the time. She had a bad attitude about the cold and the loud fireworks!

The beach was Beard's Hollow. Thanks for the great memories. I hope it was worth the long trip. We had a great time.
