B and C soccer

C showing me her medal
We had the last week of soccer for B and C and had hot dog supper which Cate was so excited for.  I think she was slightly let down because she kept asking me when we were going to swim.  I finally realized that it was because A had a pool party at a teammates house for the end of the season and Cate assumed hers would be the same.
I told her to run and show Dad her medal

"Dad, Dad! Look, I got a medal!"

"Dad, Dad, Dad!"

"Daaaaaaaad!"

"Dad! DAD! dad dad dad dad dad....."

"Look Dad! I got a MEDAL!"

"WOW Cate! That's awesome."

Here she is feigning interest

Oops!

Brooks played super tough this season.

He is finally paying attention and trying hard during his games. It helped that his friend George was on the team.

C C receiving her medal

Her team.  They might have played in the sand which was put there to fill in holes in the field more than they played soccer, but they had a great time. Some of the parents of 3 years olds were intense and stressed that their kids weren't playing.  I guess the 3rd child gets the benefit of having parents who know that she'll grow up soon enough.

I had to include this one.  Too cute.

Kitchen Paint Job

Lots of pictures. I had to leave it messy so the after would look a little better.   Before:

Trying to figure out how to paint these tiles.  First two tries have been a bust.

 After:

I love it! I used the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformations.  It took forever and Lewis risked life and limb when he made a scaffolding our of the ladder to paint the highest part above the stairs, but I love the results.

Last Weekend

We had a crazy busy weekend and with Lewis working and then taking his big yearly OMFS test I was super grateful that Jackie and her kids were in town for a week long visit.  Friday night Cate had her ballet recital dress rehearsal which is the one time we are allowed to take pictures. Enjoy!

These next two are actually from Saturday morning after the actual performance.  She did great.  When she was doing her turn she stopped halfway for a minute and everyone smiled and laughed quietly.  It was really cute and I'm glad that the laughing didn't freak her out.  Isn't she adorable? I love this picture of Porter with his arm around her, he is a sweetheart.

Jackie took Aiden to her games both on Friday night and Saturday.  I came when the ballet stuff was over.  I missed most of Saturday's game because after ballet I had to take Brooks to buy a gift and then to a birthday party.

I know I've said it before but we really love A's soccer team and coach this year.  I hope they get to stay together next year.  I think their favorite parts of the game are the snacks and this:

11 months

Abby
Abby Noni
Noni
Abioli (sung to the tune of the song "ravioli)
Abs

This baby is my earliest walker, she just up and walked across the room this week a few days before she turned 11 months.

She loves to babble all the day long.

She says Dada, Mama, Hey, Hi, Bye bye, Thank You, You're welcome (in her own special way), Georgia, and anything else that she can mimic.

She loves her blanket, it can be any of the gauze ones, and her pacifier.

Sleeps really well in her crib.  Wait, I have to go back on that one because she takes great naps.  The past week nights have been bad. Add to that that I have been staying up late working on painting my kitchen and I am pretty much a zombie right now. Last night she was up at 10:30, 12:30, 1:00, and I can't remember if there were any others until 5:10.  Sleep child, sleep!

She will climb over anything or do whatever it takes to get to something she wants.  She loves to follow the other kids around and hates when they are playing with small pieces and have to shut the door on her.

But they have to because she puts everything in her mouth.

She has 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom.  Today she fell and smacked her face and cut up her gums.  They are so swollen it looks like she only has 1 tooth on top.

She is very determined.

She is very loud and lets us know when she is unhappy.

She screams a lot.

Especially at church when it is quiet and she is stuck on my lap or in the pew.

Right now as I type this she is trying to climb up on a little chair next to me.

She still has the cutest little dimples on her hand and she got my mom's tan skin like Brooks.  After Hawaii (don't worry I put lots of sunscreen on her) she has little tan lines in her rolls.

The kids love to hold her and wrestle with her and she loves it, she loves rough play.

She loves music. And she's got some moves! Sometimes she stands in her crib just rocking out and singing to herself.

She is a little piece of sunshine in our home and we love our baby.

We love you, cupcake!
