For Aiden's 10th birthday this year we decided she would get to go to a fancy restaurant of her choosing with Lewis instead of having a birthday party. After making this decision and after her birthday she realized how many of her friends had never been to one of her parties and how devastating it was that we are moving this summer and on and on. She laid it on pretty thick and a small party with a couple of friends turned into 13 friends invited to a themed birthday party that she planned and organized almost completely on her own. If you know Aiden at all this probably doesn't surprise you. Even if you haven't seen her in years. :)
She wanted a travel theme. I was the flight attendant. Here we are on the plane. Brooks and his friend David were the pilots so we had some rough spots.
We had dinner in Thailand. Tom Ka Gai soup and stir fry with noodles.
We painted with mustaches and had dessert crepes in France.
There were other stops to Ghana to do some beading and America to make some other crafts.
The invitations were boarding passes and each traveler got a passport that they put together at the beginning of the party with their picture and personal info. They got a stamp at each country.
It ended up being a really simple and fun party! I think A might have a future in party planning!
